| Commercial EPC:
From the 1st of October 2008 sellers and landlords will be
required by law to provide an Energy Performance Certificate
(EPC) for all buildings or parts of buildings when they
are sold or rented. Please click
here for further information.
Our Commercial Energy Assessors undertaking inspection of Commercial buildings we use EPC software specifically designed for the task.
Residential EPC:
As of 14th December 2007 every residential
property advertised for sale in England and Wales will require
an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which is one
of the key components of the Home Information Pack (HIP).
A Residential EPC survey generally takes about 30 minutes to complete. This is based on a standard two bedroom house with larger properties taking slightly longer.
Lettings/Landlords:
As of 1st October 2008 every residential landlord will need to comply with Government
legislation and provide an Energy Performance Certificate for
a property with a new tenancy.
The EPC will provide an energy rating for the home from
A-G and the certificate will also offer advice on how to save
energy around the home and reduce carbon emissions. If
advice is followed the householder could substantially cut their
energy costs by up to £300 a year whilst benefiting our
environment.
